Main frame – from the EDX70 scaffolding manufacturer

The EDX 70 aluminium main frame is the basic load-bearing element of the facade scaffolding. It supports the working platforms and allows further levels to be assembled, creating a structure for facade, insulation and renovation work.

It is made of aluminium, and its main tubes have an outer diameter of 48.3 mm and a wall thickness of 4 mm. The weight of a 2 m high frame is approximately 8–8.5 kg. The lower weight compared with the steel version makes it easier to carry the components, load them, and assemble and dismantle the scaffolding.

Low weight is particularly important when the structure is frequently relocated and equipment is transported between construction sites. The EDX 70 aluminium main frame helps reduce the effort involved in handling the components while retaining their function within the scaffolding system.
