Access deck – from the EDX70 scaffolding manufacturer

The EDX 70 aluminium-plywood access platform is used to organise vertical access in facade scaffolding. The access hatch and ladder provide access to subsequent levels, and the deck surface allows movement within the bay. The permissible uniformly distributed load is 2 kN/m².

The load-bearing structure consists of aluminium profiles, while the working surface is made of 9–10 mm thick plywood that is waterproof and anti-slip. The combination of these materials reduces the component's weight and makes it easier to handle during assembly and disassembly.

The ladder is equipped with rollers that make it easier to move when operating the hatch. This solution reduces the risk of the ladder jamming and the hatch being torn off due to stresses that arise.

The end fittings are made of Z275 galvanised steel sheet. The use of steel in these critical areas serves to increase the resistance of the ends to deformation and damage, which could exclude the deck from further use.

The riveted structure is modular — each element is replaceable. This makes it possible to repair the platform by replacing damaged parts, without having to replace the entire assembly, which simplifies maintenance and reduces operating costs.

Access decks with lengths of 2.5m and 3.0m have an integrated ladder. In the case of shorter ones, the ladder is an additional element.

You can order it together with a scaffolding set or individually, to fill gaps or replace worn parts.
